What Is the Registry?

The Registry is meant to be a one-stop shop for our e-mail and World Wide Web addresses. Not a month goes by that I don't get a request from someone for so-and-so's address and I thought this would be a good way to keep us all connected.

If you would like to get notice of updates to the White Spot (North), please let me know. If you would also like to appear in the White Spot (North) Registry so this motley circle of friends can have a one-stop shop for your Internet information, e-mail me:

• your preferred e-mail address(es)
• your World Wide Web URL(s) (optional)

Mailing Lists

Here are some ready-made mailing lists. Please understand that messages to these lists will go through my PC, and may not be delivered immediately, since it is only connected to the Internet sometimes during the week after work and occasionally on the weekends.

• registry@wspot.com: All of the people listed in the Registry and all of their e-mail addresses.
• uva@wspot.com: All of my old college buddies from the University of Virginia and all of their e-mail addresses.
• sun@wspot.com: Those of my friends who are Sun Microsystems employees.
• scuba@wspot.com: Those of my friends who are scuba enthusiasts.
• forumers@wspot.com: Those of my family and friends who have done the Landmark Forum and all of their e-mail addresses.
• humor@wspot.com: Those of my family and friends who enjoy sharing and receiving occasional pieces of humor in their in-boxes.

These mailing lists are maintained by the Majordomo mailing list system. That means that you can have complete control over what lists you are subscribed to, see who is on what mailing list, and see what mailing lists you are subscribed to.

Most importantly, if you find yourself on a mailing list you don't want to be on, send an e-mail to Majordomo@wspot.com with the lines

unsubscribe list-name
end

in the body of the message (not in the subject of the message), where list-name is registry, uva, sun, scuba, forumers, or humor. Check the To: line of your e-mail to see which one applies.
